We have discovered a bit of heaven.
The cabins that are part of the Swiftcurrent Inn should be
classified as a national treasure. Built in the 1950’s the two room cabins are
quaint and comfortable. Our had a double bed (in the very small other room) and
a LARGE room with a table and benches, a chair, heater, sink big enough to wash
dishes, plenty of hooks, electricity, parking within feet of the door and
showers (that take tokens—looking forward to that) and clean flush restrooms
not far away.
Best of all? We’re in Glacier National Forest. All around
are birds singing, the smell of nature, pine, aspen and majestic cliffs
stretching skyward.
We should have stayed here a week.It rained last night, quite heavily and I’m thrilled we were indoors.
